LinkNYC to spotlight nonprofit PSAs
Spreading the word about programs and events has been a long-time barrier for nonprofit organizations. That’s why LinkNYC and F.Y. EYE are partnering with New York City providers to remove the challenges of delivering public information.
F.Y. EYE is a nonprofit dedicated to building public knowledge about nonprofit resources throughout New York City. The organization currently has several programs through which nonprofits can share their Public Service Announcements. A partnership with LinkNYC, which operates public information kiosks that also deliver free Wi-Fi, is the newest.
The partnership allows nonprofits to submit PSAs directly to F.Y. EYE, and if chosen, they will be featured across the organization’s network, including the LinkNYC kiosks all throughout New York City. Read more here.

Brooklyn Community Foundation, the first and only public foundation solely dedicated to Brooklyn, will host the Brooklyn Changemakers Ball on Thursday, Oct. 12. The benefit will honor changemaking Brooklynites – Democratic House Leader Hakeem Jeffries, Brooklyn Community Foundation trustee Gabriel Schwartz and his wife Jolie Curtsinger – for their deep commitment to achieving social justice in Brooklyn and across the nation. The Brooklyn Changemakers Ball will also raise critical funds to fuel change on the most urgent issues across Brooklyn.
The home- and community-based health care nonprofit VNS Health has announced the launch of a new hospice care education and awareness campaign designed to reach Asian American communities across New York City. During a press conference held at the organization’s Manhattan Chinatown Community Center, VNS Health stressed the urgent need for education on hospice care, and how it can help individuals and families navigate the challenges related to end of life. In addition to the ongoing education campaign, VNS Health Hospice Care also connects families with nurses, social workers, bereavement counselors and spiritual counselors who are fluent in Chinese dialects and other languages. Starting Aug 7, VNS Health and its partners will also hold special monthly community center presentations featuring hospice experts and clinicians who will provide insights into culturally sensitive end-of-life care.
