Picture yourself here: When you join PPGNY as the Communications Director you will be responsible for building power for PPGNY by developing proactive internal and external communication strategies that amplify PPGNY’s mission, drive engagement, and protect Planned Parenthood’s brand across all departments and affiliated entities. The Communications Director cultivates meaningful relationships with journalists to place quality coverage in hyper-local and national print, broadcast, and digital media platforms. The Communications Director also collaborates with various departments across the organization to shape persuasive narratives and messaging frameworks that center race equity; uplift PPGNY patients, staff, and advocates; and secure PPGNY’s position as an authority in sexual and reproductive health care, education, and advocacy. He/She/They work closely with the Executive Office, Human Resources, and Executive Leadership Team to develop strategies for internal communications.
