Assistant Program Director, Residential Services

The Bridge, an innovative and well respected mental health agency serving adults with serious mental illness, substance abuse, co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders, and co-morbid medical conditions is seeking an Assistant Program Director for it's Residential Services Programs.

Scope of Position:

• Assists the Program Director with the safe operation of 60 bed CR/SRO housing 15 young adults transitioning from OMH children’s facilities, and 45 adults with SPMI and histories of homelessness and psychiatric hospitalizations

• Be available on call 24/7
• Conducts outreach with approved referral facilities (shelters, state psychiatric centers, children’s residential treatment centers) to ensure full occupancy, and engages residents prior to admission to ensure successful transition
• Responsible for development and implementation of client programing and groups
• Ensures that staff uses Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Informed practices
• Supervises case management staff
• Coaches and supports staff to ensure maximum resident engagement
• Conducts weekly individual and group supervision of case management team
• Willing to provide coverage for Program Director
• Other duties as required

Education/Qualifications:

• Masters in Social Work or related field, 2+ years in similar field
• Excellent English language skills, both verbal and written
• knowledge of AWARDS
• Commitment to Trauma Informed services and experience with young adults and adults with SPMI and co-occurring disorders
• Clear understanding of and experience with OMH regulations regarding CR/SROs
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Applicant must be a team player who is stress resistant, creative and open to feedback
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to perform CPR, First Aid, AED, CPI, and Naloxone
• COVID-19 VACCINATIONA REQUIRED
